Minutes of Quarterly Business Meeting
March 12, 2007
Location: Workplace of Janice Davis, IBEW Union Hall, 1530 Hutchinson Avenue, Knoxville
Members Present: President Chuck Kryder and Treasurer Janice Davis; 24 members present
Chuck called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.
SECRETARY’S REPORT
The minutes from the February 7 monthly Board meeting were approved as submitted and will be forwarded to Tom Marsh for our website. In Marcia’s absence, Sandra Barker took minutes for this meeting.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Janice reported that we have $6,863.37 in the General account and $15,591.51in the Boogie account.
UPDATE ON MEMBERSHIP
Chuck reported that we now have 155 members.
BOOGIE COMMITTEE REPORTS
Ticket Sales - Bill Linan reported that we have sold 321 tickets to date. Fourteen states are represented.
Registration - Tom Marsh needs 14 more slots filled.
Hospitality - Jill has her all the slots filled.
50/50 – Marcia has a few slots still open.
T-Shirt Sales – Shirts will sell for $15-16.
Dance Floor – Bill Hughes will coordinate setting up the floor on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning; the floor will be dismantled Sunday morning. Volunteers still needed.
Karen Sparks asked about insurance coverage (liability) for the Boogie. Chuck will check on this.
PRE-BOOGIE PARTY – MARCH 24
Academy Ballroom at 1637 Downtown West Shopping Center (Marie’s new place) from 7 to 11 p.m. Bring a covered dish. $5 cover charge. BYOB. Limited beer, wine, water, and soft drinks will be provided by the Club.
