Net Proceeds

SMOKY MOUNTAIN BOOGIE 2007

Location Options

Music Road Hotel – Easter weekend is our only option for 2007.  They are expanding their dance floor space; work is scheduled for completion by fall 2006.

Gatlinburg Convention Center – Food cost was too much.

River Terrace – Two dance floors, which was determined to be unsatisfactory by most.

Ticket Prices

The Board voted to keep ticket pricing for 2007 the same as 2006.  (This has since been revised.  Chair Bill Vann called for a meeting with the purpose of discussing ticket pricing for 2007.  This meeting was held on May 22 at Michaels and attended by several club members.  After much discussion, it was agreed that we needed to increase our pricing:  $55 before January 31; $65 afterwards.).

At this same meeting, Bill Vann suggested that we give away one free Boogie ticket to anyone who has submitted the volunteer survey that was previously distributed.  The drawing for this free ticket will be Saturday, May 27, at Dance Dimensions.

MISCELLANEOUS

Marcia is to ask Pat Clark if she would be willing to chair this committee.

April 29 Meeting at Dance Dimensions
